 5. PLANNING APPLICATIONS
To consider the following applications received to date and to make recommendations
comments and observations thereon to Rutland County Council

a) Change of use of the existing offices (B1) at the front of the building to 1 no. 1 bedroom
flat, 2 no. 2-bedroom flats and convert shop (A1) at rear to 1 no. bedroom flat, 2 no. 2-
bedroom flats and 1 no. 3-bedroom house (C3), 78 High Street

b) Replace 3 no. timber windows with double glazed casement windows, Friends Meeting
House South Street

c) T1 - Lawson cypress - Split out tree - Fell. T2 - Acacia - Low amenity value tree on drive -
Fell. T3 - Lawson cypress - Low amenity value tree on drive – Fell, Catmose Farmhouse
40 Uppingham Road

d) T1 - Lawson cypress,T6 Indian Bean Tree, T7 Cherry, T8 Maple - Fell to ground level

e) T1,T2,T3-Conifer trees - Reduce to a total height of 3.5 metres, to maintain suitable
height for hedge. T4-Beech tree - Reduce to a total height of 3.5 metres, to maintain

6. PLAYGROUND INSPECTION REPORT (Appendix B)
To receive the quarterly independent playground inspection report and to make any
decisions as appropriate

 7. REQUEST TO USE CUTTS CLOSE
To consider a request and grant permission for Hollands Fair to use Cutts Close during
Sunday 26th April – Sunday 3rd May 2020

8. OAKHAM CASTLE - WELL- SCHEDULED MONUMENT CONSENT (Appendix C)
Members to note an application made by RCC to Historic England for scheduled monument
consent to carry out some minor repair works to the castle well. The work will not directly
affect any part of the monument which falls under Oakham Towns Council ownership

9. OUTDOOR FITNESS EQUIPMENT (Appendix D)
To consider correspondence received from RCC and to make any decisions as appropriate

10. 75th VE DAY CELEBRATIONS (Appendix E)
To consider a report and to authorise any expenditure within the budget heading allocated to
Promotion of Oakham

11. 2020 SUMMER BAND CONCERTS (Appendix F)
To consider a report and to authorise any expenditure within the budget heading allocated to
Promotion of Oakham

12. ARMED FORCES EVENT (Appendix G)
To consider received from RCC and to make any decisions as appropriate

13. REQUEST FROM THE ROYAL BRITISH LEGION
To grant permission for The Royal British Legion to borrow a Town Council gazebo for the
Rutland County Show
