Oakham Town Council still splashing your cash during times of hardship
Oakham Town Council paid for the removal of benches in Cutts Close and purchased new benches spending thousands of pounds of public money. As many councils cut spending Oakham Town Council is always thinking of ways to spend the tax it collects from residents. The bench replacement scheme is purely a cosmetic and expensive exercise. If you are a trader maybe you could send them a few suggestions on how they can further spend public money on essential cosmetic improvements.
Old style benches were recently maintained by the councils contractor.
