Cllr Adam Lowe Resigns as Chairman of Planning and Parks Committee
Our adorable Deputy Mayor has also resigned from working groups
Cllr Joyce Lucas has also resigned from a working group.
I admire our councillors commitment they resign from working groups
only to go back on. This continued instability is preventing progress.
If I put my name forward for any of the positions I feel that will
prompt them to stand again for selection, it is pathetic.
Mr Lowe or Mrs Lucas have not given any reason to council
for their sudden resignation from working groups.
One Councillor suggests Cllr Lucas got what she wanted, the use
of the old gym for her Royal British Legion Fundraiser.
On that subject I got an answer to a question I raised some
years ago and more recently and according to Cllr Lucas
who read out some email responses from people she did not
want to name others have raised the same concerns.
Oakham does have a branch of the Royal British Legion
The Royal British Legion apparently forgot to add it to
their website.
The fundraiser raised over £200 for the poppy appeal.
