Cllr Alan Walters Publishes Revealing Calendar Oakham Town Council Private Meetings
It has been rumoured for some period of time, Oakham Town Council
Members hold private meetings.
Thanks to Oakham Town Councillor Alan Walters this can be confirmed.
Many of Oakham Town Councillors don't contribute to debate at
public meetings and it has been suspected that most business is
decided outside the Chamber. (predetermination)
This predetermination was very apparent at the last meeting of 2014
when Cllr Adam Lowe pointed out members opinion concerning a
agenda item that had been shared via email.
During the short period I was a Councillor it was suggested members
were holding private meetings and excluding myself and a few others
from those meetings.
Alan Walters Calendar shows a meeting will be held on the 15th January
at 6pm.
