the Lord Lieutenant of Rutland, Sarah Furness, held a service at All Saints Church in Oakham to honour the people of Rutland who serve in the military, emergency services, and other volunteer organisations.

On Sunday, July 9, 2023, the Lord Lieutenant of Rutland, Sarah Furness, held a service at All Saints Church in Oakham to honour the people of Rutland who serve in the military, emergency services, and other volunteer organisations.

After the service, there was a party in Cutts Close Park, where attendees could enjoy military and community stalls, food and drink, children's activities, and live music.

Local band Manky Beds and the Bluebird Belles, a 1940s-inspired trio, performed at the party.

Sarah Furness said the party was a chance for everyone to come together and thank the people who help to keep Rutland safe and strong.

Body Removed, Cold Overton Road, Oakham, Emergency Services, National Grid attended



Cold Overton Road, Oakham,

Emergency Services and the National Grid attended a address along
Cold Overton Road, Oakham, this afternoon.

The police appeared to have gained access to the property via the
rear. The police were also seen entering a nearby property still
wearing blue gloves.

At 3pm Ford of Oakham undertakers arrived to remove a body.
