In 2011 Susan Maw as part of the popular television show The Apprentice.
Despite not winning, Tropic Pure Plant Skin Care impressed business tycoon
and media personality Lord Alan Sugar, who chose to invest!

He is now a 50/50 partner with Susan Ma.

The company now has over seven hundred Ambassadors
selling the Vegan Society Approved  skin care products.

I was attracted to Rutland Ambassador Sharon Clephane's stall at yesterdays Christmas Market held
at Victoria hall after seeing the large poster of Lord Alan Sugar, The power of the our Lord...

Rutland County Council refuses wind turbine application for Morcott

Rutland County Council refuses wind turbine application for Morcott, Councillors refused an application for a wind turbine in Morcott at a meeting last night (Monday) Rutland County Council’s development control and licensing committee had approved an application for a second 88ft wind turbine at Springfield Lodge Farm in North Luffenham Road, Morcott, in August. But four councillors asked for the application to be brought before the full council, where it was considered again last night. Two were not present and Two voted four the applications approval.  Councillors refused the application despite a recommendation by planning officers to approve it. Many residents living in Morcott had opposed the development and a petition with 119 signatures and 35 letters of objection were received. It will be interesting to see if this goes to appeal. It is very clear politics have played a big part in this decision. Bringing this to full council made sure the Tories led by Cllr King and Baines achieved the result they wanted. I think if they had approved this application it might have been a vote loser.  It does make you wonder why the council even bothers to have a planning committee if their decisions can be overturned so easily.

Morcott is the chosen home of County councillor Christine Emmett, She is the Tory Candidate for the forthcoming by-election. maybe they local Tories read about one of opponents.

James Delingpole who confirmed that he will run in Corby after all.
Not for UKIP as previously touted, but as an anti-wind farm candidate:

“The stench from the wind industry and its many leech-like hangers-on is overpowering and it’s a disgrace that so few people are speaking up for the thousands of victims affected by it. But I am. I hereby announce my intention to stand in the Corby by-election as the anti-wind farm candidate. Not in my back yard. And not in yours either!”
