Oakham Town Council has adopted the Heritage Trail leaflet after Oakham Town Partnership said they could no longer afford the printing cost.
Oakham Town Council has paid for 20,000 of the old style leaflet to be printed for this summers visitors a new leaflet will be produced for next year.
16,000 have been given to a distributor and the remaining remain at the Town Council Office.
