Pinchbeck Lincolnshire photographs of Village Spalding

Pinchbeck is passed by two railway lines no station at this point no longer exists although you can still cross via a public footpath.

Holmlea Bakery
Pinchbeck is a Lincolnshire village on the way to Spalding.

For a village it still has a lot of shops and plenty of places to get a hair cut!

Above is the bakers I met the owner she certainly live up to her reputation very fierce.
She explained to me I had no right to take a photograph of her shop.
I feel she feared I was a immigrant worker who had come to rob her.
She told me she had been burgled a short time ago by a young woman from Portugal. Who had forgotten the baker owned a big dog who was a very hungry dog. So the young woman was caught by the teeth of the dog.

I got the feeling she used to live in a large house across the road, this was described as the united nations of Pinchbeck.

I purchased a couple of small cakes and departed before, I was fed to the dog.

The Bell Pub Looks as if it is Now Closed
In 2009 the pub was owned Duran Kumcur whilst  refurbishing The Bell in Church Street he applied to South Holland District Council for a drinks licence and to allow for film screenings, live music, dance performances and similar entertainment up to 4am.
The building was painted bright yellow but complaints to the district council resulted in Mr Kumcur agreeing to re-paint it white, even though he did  not have to by law.
