Oakham Town Council, Oakham Skatepark, Replacement, No User or Community Involvement?

Oakham Town Council, Oakham Skatepark, Replacement, No User or Community Involvement?

This week the skatepark in Cutts Close was back on the agenda at Oakham Town Council
another quote has appeared.

What I find very strange about Oakham Town Council is the lack
of interest to involve users and the community in any of its major
projects.

Other towns and villages do. Most recently we heard probably one
of the oldest people in Exton explain how the villagers young and
old pull together to plan and fund raise for their new skatepark.

Our Grandparent here on Oakham Town Council Cllr Alan Walters
said he would be concerned for health and safety if concrete was used.

The existing timber skatepark has had more money spent on repairs
than the original build cost.
