The Rutland Comedy Night has great pleasure in introducing the great Neil Innes to their stage this
September!
Best known for his collaborative work with Monty Python, the Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band and the Rutles,
including his now cult-classic shows for BBC2’s ’The Innes Book of Records’, Innes will be bringing his
new solo show here packed full of his signature brand of musical brilliance.
‘..if I could describe what I do on stage in a sentence or two….then there would be absolutely no need for me to go on stage and do it!’
The show is wry, poignant and humorous, with anecdotes from Innes’ life and times in the world media. Added to this hilarious mix will be new songs and material with plenty of audience participation to tickle the emotions.
Fine musicianship, hilarious comedy and enlightened lyricism, this show has it all in a nutshell; a witty look at modern life told by one of comedy’s greats.
