Dear #######,

Thank you for taking the time to write.

I have tried not to make any promises and base my possible election on representing the people. not wanting to seem negative I feel I have a hard battle in a traditionally Conservative ward.

My personal view is no wind farm should spoil any of our countryside views. especially as Rutland County Council base the future of our county on tourism.

I prefer a wind farm in the correct location. Certainly a better option than any ugly power station.

I have followed a Pickworth residents Twitter on the subject and if the location shown is correct it would be a disaster.

In finishing if elected, I will learn more about this matter and others and represent the views of the residents.

Something I and others believe current councillor fail to do.

I hope that helps answer your question. I am sorry I have not been able to visit all residents or leaflet all electors.

Your sincerely

Martin Brookes

Dear Mr Brookes,

Thank you for your prompt and straight answer.

I share your views on this matter and am disappointed
with the current Rutland councilors team who have let
this wind farm project go as far as it is now without
any consultation with or concern for any of the Rutland
residents.

It would have been nice though to see your opposition
to the first stage of project (the erection of an
80m meteorological mast, that is a mast taller
than the first floor of the Eiffel tower!)
on the Rutland Planning Applications website.

Yours sincerely
