David Bowie: Sound and Vision, BBC1, 7:30pm  The show will take a look back at Bowie over the years, from his early beginnings to his most recent music, as well as examining his influence on the music world.

David Bowie: A Tribute, Channel 4, 10:35pm – Billed as a ‘one hour musical tribute’, expect some of Bowie’s most notable hits and some fond recollections from friends and fans in the wake of his passing.

David Bowie – Five Years, 8pm, Yesterday – This is a repeat of a 2013 BBC documentary, which follows the musician over key one-year periods in his early career.

David Bowie – Five Years, 11.15pm, BBC2 – It can also be seen later on the BBC, who have moved the snooker over to BBC1.

David Bowie: Video Killed the Radio Star, 7:30pm, Sky Arts (Tuesday, January 12) – The documentary features directors David Mallett and Tim Pope among others, discussing the challenges, expense, and visions behind David Bowie’s music videos.

The hugely successful Channel 4 show Come Dine With Me is returning for new,
prime-time series. they are looking for people over 18 years of age in the Rutland area with a
passion for cooking and who want to demonstrate their skills.

I was thinking their could be a good opportunity for ex Oakham Town Councillors to get together
hearing the many stories like the one of the ex Councillor and school governor who got so drunk she fell in her soup and that's the first course! Lets not forget the former Mayor who had to be carried to a taxi after a Tory  Ladies night out. Not sure she would be able to hold the number up to score in the back of the taxi so that would be no good. Last years mayor could provide chocolate shot glasses so dignified.

Then I realised the show is not titled "come get pissed with us" although some who have
taken part in the show in the past have become a little merry and revolting, I watched yesterdays show, won't be watching tonight. A grown man spitting food at the table is not pleasant.

The programme makers claim its a chance to create a perfect dining experience! I am not sure where they dine sometimes. When I visited the Chimps Tea at the zoo as a boy they appeared to have better table manners.

The symbol of the Paralympic Games is composed of three "agitos", coloured red, blue, and green, encircling a single point, on a white field. The agito ("I move" in Latin) is a symbol of movement in the shape of an asymmetrical crescent. The Paralympic symbol was created by the Scholz & Friends agency and approved in April 2003.

The colours of the agitos with the white background stand for the three colours that are most widely represented in national flags around the world. The three agitos encircle a centre point, to emphasize "the role that the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) has of bringing athletes from all corners of the world together and enabling them to compete". The shape also symbolises the Paralympic vision "To Enable Paralympic Athletes to Achieve Sporting Excellence and to Inspire and Excite the World".

This Paralympic symbol was first used in publications and other products in 2003. Due to limited time before the 2004 Paralympic Summer Games in Athens, the new symbol was not used by participating delegations during the Games. At the 2004 Closing Ceremony however, the flag that was handed over to Beijing had the new symbol. The symbol was first used in a Paralympic emblem at the 2006 Paralympic Winter Games in Torino.
