'Cash-strapped Peterborough Cathedral raises funds through Nightingale Courts' and Council Meetings.
I visited the Cathedral yesterday and found the visitors centre was closed because it was being used as a court room.
When I arrived home I googled and was astonished to find the Church Times was describing the Cathedral as Cash-strapped.
Whilst visiting the Cathedral the cash donation box was pointed out to me along with the Contactless Card Payment Option.
I decided on my way out to visit the gift shop and selected a £15 glass item and went to pay, a nice lady said I am sorry we don't accept cash so the item went back on the shelf and the 'Cash-strapped' Cathedral remained just that.
