Oakham Town Council Accounts 2009-2010
Councillor were asked by email whether they would agree to the clerk asking the Council’s external auditors for a one month extension for the submission of the Council’s Accounts for 2009-2010 following the Clerk absence from work. This was agreed by most councillors, so he has sent a formal request to extend the deadline to August 12th 2010.
I am not sure the other councillors understand the serious nature of this failure. The Clerk took two weeks sick at the end of last month not a month. I think this clearly shows he has spent far too long up to this point reading my blog and complaining. The Clerk states my blog was bullying him. As far an I am concerned it is a tool I use to break down the secret nature of Oakham Town Council.
I am sure the Prime Minister would agree, It was good to the publication of wages of top civil servants, paid with public money.
The town Clerk is paid with public money and objects to the public knowing how much he his over paid.
The Town Clerk has said I abuse the privilege of being a Councillor. The privilege is no that great, my exclusion from many matters proves that, I read in a magazine yesterday the date for the official opening of the bandstand after £30,000 was wasted on works. Surely as a Councillor this information should be known to councillors before the press?
