Important Change at Oakham Town Council
Openness is coming to Oakham Town Council, and I missed it but welcome the change.
On the 6th October 2010 Cllr Alf Dewis proposed to exclude the Press and Public under Section 1 (2) of the Public Bodies (Admissions to Meetings) Act 1960 and in accordance with standing order 61 due to the confidential nature of the matter to be discussed in item 18 on the Agenda.
The motion was not seconded and members of the public remained in the meeting.
The Councillors considered the re-submitted tenders for the toilet cleaning.
A three year contract was awarded to the current contractor AA Cleaning Services.
