Rutland County Council Tesco Deputations!

Dear Mr Brookes

If you want to present a Deputation instead of the question, then please indicate who you will representing, who will form the Deputation (ie the number, names and addresses of the persons who will form the deputation) and who will speak at the meeting?  I've highlighted the relevant text in the Procedure Rules attached.  Your original email doesn't state this and therefore cannot be accepted as a Deputation at this stage.

The deadline for submitting the above is by Noon on Thursday 7 October.

The email I sent was clearly titled Deputations, Questions  and petitions so I do not understand the above.
It is clear to me Rutland County Council does not want people to speak at meetings.  no wonder they get angry members of the public waving sticks at them at meetings.
Democracy? I want democracy a respectable old man shouted last week after he was told he could not speak.
There was a lot of frustrated members of the public who wanted to speak.
A few instructions were placed on seats, why? that was no good because the dealine had passed.

I have emailed my deputation to all Councillors and my MP so if I don't to read it out at least they will have seen it.

Why do you need to be a group member to address a Council that is a new one for me.
Next time my neighbour puts in an application to build a garage I must remember to set up a group to address the council.

The 12 noon deadline? why I have printed council documents that say you can hand in your deputation 15 minutes before a meeting.

I did notice at the last meeting no one was available at the meeting until the 15 minutes had passed.
