Mr Marc A Oxley (Lib/Dem) - UPPINGHAM WARD
has asked Rutland County Council to be more transparent when dealing with £500,000 cuts and changes to existing staffs terms of contract.
Mr Roger B Begy (Conservative) - GREETHAM WARD (Leader of the Council) said negotiations were ongoing.
The Council had met this morning with Union Representatives of the staff.
He said an offer had been placed on the table today.
The Unions will be meeting with staf this Wednesday and then the Unions will return to the Council for a meeting on Thursday.
A Union representative was present at tonight's meeting, I agreed not to publish any discussion, but it would be fair to say it is not a happy time for staff or union.
I wish them well.
