CHRISTMAS CLOSURE OF OFFICE
Oakham Town Council offices will be closed from December 23rd 2011 and will re-open on Tuesday 3rd January 2012.
As the Town Council does not provide any essential service or purpose the public may not notice this closure.
The Clerk says E-mails and telephone messages will be monitored during the closure
This closure does not cost the tax payer any extra money the *staff use his sickness allowance throughout and the year as and when required and save holiday entitlement for this period of closure.
*sometimes they are sick.
Last week the council introduced new regulations and procedure regarding staff sickness.
In the past it had no procedure to deal with this issue.
