OAKHAM TOWN COUNCIL BUDGET 2012 -2013

OAKHAM TOWN COUNCIL BUDGETAt its meeting held on Wednesday January 11th, members approved the Town Council budget for the 2012 - 2013 financial year. A copy of the approved budget can be downloaded here
The Town Council precept in 2012 - 2013 will be £208666 which equates to £52.13 per Band D property in Oakham.

This represents no increase on the 2011 - 2012 figure.

This still leaves Oakham Town Council with the issue of being the highest rate in the county and like most years in the past, they will be required to explain this with its own page in Rutland County Councils explanation booklet sent out with council tax bills. This shows most costs go towards the administration of the council and the rest is spent on the little they do.

During the period of working towards setting the budget the clerk wrote, we don't do much, but the little we do we do well.

I say a little at a huge cost.
