West Road Oakham, Gang of Men Rob Four Men at Knife Point Boxing Day
The four men were robbed at knife point whilst sitting in a car at 10.30pm.
I know West Road is not the nicest of Oakham's road to be frequenting late evening. its a shocking development that it now appears young men are now carrying knifes.
I remember some time ago being assaulted by a young man and hist fist in that area, thankfully he did not have a knife, just a fist and a can of lager and he was only about 15.
Knifes are not something you would associate with Oakham.
Det Con Michelle Preston who is investigating the incident said: “Although the victims weren’t seriously injured this was a frightening incident for them.
“These types of incidents are extremely rare in Oakham and we are keen to trace those responsible. All the suspects were wearing face coverings and hooded tops and were aged between 15 and 20.
“If you witnessed the incident or you know anything about the people responsible then please get in touch. The slightest detail could help with the investigation.”
Anyone with any information can contact Det Con Preston on 101, follow the instructions to leave a message for a police officer and when prompted key in the officer’s identification number 4661.
