OAKHAM LAWN TENNIS CLUB and residents battle again.
I am not sure why this matter has returned to Oakham Town Council Agenda so soon after it supported
the public and refused permission as landlords.
The Council decided not to allow the installation of floodlights as it was considered installation of lights would cause a nuisance to near neighbours.
The Tennis club chairman has been chatting to someone at Oakham Town Council and a revised request is to be made. Still involving the installation of some lights.
Maybe Cllr Lucas was correct when she said others from elsewhere would intervene and the club will get its lights whatever her council decides.
Both sides will be given a 15 minute restriction to battle their case for and against.
At least we won't have to suffer another long poor presentation from the tennis club.
