Ashwell Road in Oakham is closed from today for a period of up to 8 weeks for bridge works Tweeted by @rutlandcouncil The workman's sign says 6 weeks with the JCB tractor breaking down it might be 8. It never fails to amaze me when I road is closed here in Rutland how many drivers ignore closures some even moving cones and signs to continue their journey towards a huge hole in the road they cant' get around.

The access to Ashwell Road Shops, Oakham School and Queens Road are not effected.
