Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Tea Towel (Limited Edition) at Hirst & Hirst
In last weeks Rutland Times sermon written by Oakham Mayor Councillor Joyce Lucas she complained she had to import a Jubilee flag from outside the county to fly from her home and suggested local retailers were missing a trick.
So I took to the shop to see what memorabilia was on offer. I found a Tea Towel at Hirst and Hirst, Church Street, Oakham, maybe its a little early in the year for the rest of the shops. One card shop said they would not be stocking anything.
Hearing the voices of foreign tourists this week would suggest to me the Mayor be correct, I did not get around to the museum shop or the castle although I believe these two be irrelevant due to the Council closing them open the two days we seem to attract the most visitor to town.
Some info I found online about the Tea Towel available at Hirst & Hirst
