The Mayor and Deputy who's ward this development is within feared this would be a ghetto in their patch.
If this is a ghetto I would not mind living there.
I hope the new resident will enjoy paying their council tax to the town council, the Clerk is looking forward to the extra cash to spend. He told Councillors not long ago the new homes were a benefit to council and they did not present an additional burden on the council. I think that statement shows the relevance of the town council to the majority of Oakham. The Town Council serves a minority paid for by the majority.
