Cllr Charles Haworth says bandstand is underused
This is possibly because Oakham Town Council see the bandstand as their shrine after wasting so
much tax payers money on it.
It may also have something to do with the council rather stupidly making a token cut in spending
by cutting the number of summer concerts to save around £2000 to squander on other projects
they dream up.
If the council reinstated the missing concerts the bandstand may not feel underused.
And if they booked bands people wanted instead of just those that keep ex Cllrs happy that might help
increase attendance.
