Oakham Town Council Internal Audit Report May 2015 Points Out Unauthorised Expenditure by Cllr Alf Dewis during the absence of the Clerk.
Currently Oakham Town Council is still run by Cllr Alf Dewis and that needs to change
it is not the Chairman's role to run the council.
Some of the existing members of Oakham Town Council have to take some of the
blame for this appalling internal audit report, I say appalling because it is evidence
that one person is running the council it is due to their lack of interest and neglect
of the affairs of the council which has created the current situation in which the Mayor
Cllr Alf Dewis previously deputy feels he can solely run the council. Ignoring all
rules. Fully supported by the monitoring officer at Rutland County Council.
