Midland Hotel Morecambe Afternoon Tea

Midland Hotel Morecambe Afternoon Tea.

Midland Hotel Morecambe Afternoon Tea yesterday was very good.

The only thing I notice wrong was the table cloth was dirty under the plate.

The George Hotel Stamford Lincolnshire Afternoon Tea

The George Hotel Stamford Lincolnshire Afternoon Tea

The George Stamford, Afternoon Tea, Much better than my experience at the last place I had tea, that was a disaster, so much so they have compensated in return for me removing my photographs and review of from Trip Advisor. It stays on my blog.

My visit to the George was almost tainted by one of the welcoming staff, who basically told me a previous issue should be expected, because they employ 16 year olds who are learning. Something the Manager did not agree with.

Once inside I found the George as nice as ever and enjoyed my tea.

The Grand Hotel Brighton Victorian Afternoon Tea

The food was good,  I do wonder why it had to be garnished with dead green leaves?

the service was not so good.

The Waiter left me sitting for nearly 30 minutes even though I had booked a table for ONE.

He said "I thought you were waiting for someone"

I replied no and I was beginning to think, I had been forgotten.

At this point he very quickly cleared the extra setting.

I felt the service was unnecessarily rushed and lacked the friendly interaction, I have often found at many other fine establishments.

I would rate the service lower than a Morrisons Cafe.

There also appeared to be shortage of tea strainers, mine never arrived.

The Tea Cup and saucers were nice made by William Edwards in Staffordshire they retail for around £65 a cup and saucer.

Although the menu states scones, the Grand only serve one scone, I asked for a additional one and very quickly two more arrived. The extra one I ate, was delicious fresh out the oven unlike the first.

Would I take tea at the Grand again probably not, it was not as Grand as I expected?

I did learn a new variant of afternoon tea from a nearby table, Pints of Beer and Scones.

A waitress who produced my bill, provided me with a box for all the cake I could not eat. She was much better than the waiter and had the skills required to serve guests.

The Falcon Hotel, The Market Place, Uppingham, Rutland, Afternoon Tea, Photographs

The Falcon Hotel The Market Place
UPPINGHAM
Rutland

Today was my birthday, I was content with the idea of celebrating at the Age UK Coffee shop
in Uppingham, which also has a nice selection of books, DVD's and CD's to buy, but after
a nice walk around Eyebrook reservoir, we were a little too late.

A friend treated me to the most delicious and affordable afternoon tea at the newly restored
Falcon Hotel.

The service was great and the various staff were all very happy and friendly.as welcoming as the warm fire was.

The loo's were sparkling and spotless.
