Larkfleet Homes, Barleythorpe Road, Burley Park Way, Oakham, Rutland 9 new shops, A new Town?

Larkfleet Homes, Barleythorpe Road, Burley Park Way, Oakham, Rutland 9 new shops, A new Town?

Oakham North is looking more and more like a new town creation.

1000's of new homes, Supermarkets, Petrol Station, Large Family Pub, Hotel, A small community centre (Terry King diverted most of the 106 funding for a larger sports community centre to outside Oakham) are all on there way.

Next week Oakham Town Council will look at the plans for 9 new shops

7pm Victoria Hall.

2014/0546/RES Larkfleet Homes
Reserved Matters for the erection of 9 local centre retail units and 30 No. one
 and two bedroom apartments
Land between Barleythorpe and Burley Park Way

Whilst Oakham is expanding Rutland County Councils Tories appear to be doing little provide the extra services that will be required for these new residents, Doctors, Schools are two examples of essential services over subscribed here in Oakham.

Oakham in Bloom Construction, Uppingham junction, Burley Park Way, Ward Exton Parish Egleton

Oakham in Bloom Construction, Uppingham junction, Burley Park Way, Ward Exton Parish Egleton

I found  planning minutes of 2009, relating to an old town partnership application to site welcome boards in the same area of Uppingham junction, Burley Park Way. The area is described as EGLETON (Ward: Exton, Parish: Egleton)

If you look at the Welcome to Oakham Boards they are on the wrong side of the road at this location and near Langham because the parish councils would not give consent for the boards to be located in their parishes. I am not sure what Exton will make of the new stone and rock installation described as a flower bed. To me it looks like a display patio at Travis Perkins or Homebase.

Tomorrow evening Oakham in Bloom is expecting Oakham Town Council to act as its Licensee for this flower bed?

Rutland County Council grant a licence for each of Oakham in Blooms creations.

The Clerk reports, This is very similar wording to current licences in operation with a number of site
specific conditions. These are that no rockery stones............  (that should be interesting as 90% of this creation is stone and rocks)

Looks like the useless Chief Executive Helen Briggs, who is claiming to be acting as the authorised agent for
Rutland County Council District Council has not done her home work before sending out this legal document. For signature.
