Leicester Station refurbished booking hall photographs

the refurbished booking hall at Leicester Station

Customer calling the new station information line to find out which
new information leaflet is required?

Good to see the same train indicator boards still remain in place, very handy to see how late my Cross Country Train is running.

Before the refurbishment there were a line of windows across the back wall, rather like the post office or the bank most were closed. the train company solved that problem the plastered half of them up and placed a row of ticket machines instead. The refurbishment has seen the removal of all but one a room with a few desks has been created. The one remaining window appears to serve disabled customers its next to the two information sign and was closed. The customer information box in the right hand corner has been replaced by a smart open desk area also closed.

A brighter Leicester Station Photographs

Six million pounds later and Leicester has a brightly refurbished
railway station. I can only imagine what the newly refurbished
Rutland County College would have looked like  if they had managed
to spend another million pounds.

All that new glass and they still leave the lights on.
