Andy Burnham Labour's Shadow Health Secretary

I received the following email from a Labour person.

I think they require support. Was it not Labour who lost the last Election? What's changed about Labour?
Not sure they are the alternative to this Tory Woe

Anyway I am sure they have some support so here is the email for those partisan few.

Hello,

During the election David Cameron promised change, but things have got worse - a double-dip recession, millionaires getting tax cuts while millions pay more and nurses getting P45s.

This isn't the change that he promised.

But we really can rebuild Britain - even though there's less money to spend.

We are ready to step up to the big challenges of the future - by building an economy that works for working people, protecting the NHS and supporting our local communities.

The banks need real change - and we will demand that.

The energy markets need to be opened up so that consumers aren't ripped off.

And the NHS needs to be allowed to concentrate on delivering patient care and protected from the market free-for-all that the Coalition are driving through.

But to achieve these things we need people to come together to make them happen.

Between now and the election, our campaign will be powered by people like you.

So I wanted to ask you to take the first step and say you're with us.

Thank you

Andy Burnham

Labour's Shadow Health Secretary

NHS, Telephone Threat

Leicester police have told me the phone call made on the 31st December 2010 threatening my life was made from a telephone belonging to the NHS in Leicester.  Last night in a private council meeting ### tried to blame me for #### levels of stress. I don't have any proof that the call was made by anyone who works with #### or is known by ##### but isn't it a coincidence that a random stranger should threaten me from ###### place of work? I ask why would an NHS employee be so interested in my blog and the content relating to Oakham Town Council and then want to threaten my safety?

No Pharmacy Open On A Sunday In Rutland

Took the PNG version which was in Image:Pharma...Image via Wikipedia

The NHS is ending the duty Chemist Rota here in Rutland.

NHS Leicester County and Rutland say the Rota is no longer needed.

Boots Pharmacy  next to the medical practice currently only trades
Monday to Friday and close at 6.30 pm

No other pharmacy currently trades on a Sunday accept when required
by the rota.

I wonder if the new enlarged Tesco will have a pharmacy.
