Oakham Town Council, Planning Sub Committee, Councillors Walk out at public deputations, 17th November 2014

The chairman Cllr Leanne Martin was absent.
The remaining Councillors appointed Stan Stubbs
as Chairman.

After 5 minutes we arrived at public deputations, I wanted to read out a statement
regarding the councils illegal co-options. Councillors walked out and locked them
themselves in the office with a member of the public.

The considered the planning applications below in less than 10 minutes.

Oakham Town Council, Planning Sub Committee, Report & Video, All Considered in Less than 15 minutes

Oakham Town Council, Planning Sub Committee, Report & Video,
All Considered in Less than 15 minutes.

Cllr Alan Walters was absent this left a committee of three members
In the chair was Cllr Leanne Martin.

Committee Members, Cllrs, Stan Stubs and John Nowell were present.

Richard White the clerk.

We read the nonsense in last weeks local paper regarding how a afternoon
of training makes this committee fully qualified to take on Rutland County
Councils Planning Department.

Six applications were dealt with in less than 15 minutes the first five
were approved and the last was rejected.

The committee in my view is not an improvement and I see know difference
in the way Oakham Town Council deal with applications. Its a farce!

Oakham Town Council, Planning Sub Committee, The blind leading the blind??

Oakham Town Council, Planning Sub Committee, The blind leading the blind??

This morning I received the above via e-mail.

A couple of hours training by four Oakham Town Councillors
and they feel they are empowered to take on the might of Rutland
County Council Planning Department.

Oakham Town Council, Planning Sub Committee, Halted Due To Protest, Member of Public Attempts to Steal my Camera, You Tube Video

Oakham Town Council, Planning Sub Committee, Halted Due To Protest, Member of Public Attempts to Steal my Camera, You Tube Video, The Committee tried to ignore the disruption
for about seven minutes, Cllr Adam Lowe attempted to make a public deputation, this is now
the only way a ward councillor can contribute to planning matters that effect their ward if they
are not a member of the closed committee, it's a disgrace.

Cllr Leanne Martin who chairs the sub committee says protest is not acceptable at the committee, the place for protest is at the full council meeting,  I was planning to carry out a protest then, so its good to have it on video that is the preferred time.

Almost a year ago, Oakham Town Councillors Past and present who have committed the
most disgusting hate crimes against myself and others, lied to the police, this included
The Chief Executive of Rutland County Council Helen Briggs and a local police Sergeant
Chris Wharton.

I was subject to a five day trial at which the District Judge said the truth was exaggerated,
I prefer to use plain English, these people lied and were happy to see me sent to prison,
if the judge had believed their lies. (Sgt Wharton did not lie in court, he repeated a defamatory comment)

I wrote to Oakham Town Council members asking for all those involved to resign, including those
who supported or committed the hate crimes I have been subjected to.

I warned them of my protest which I will carry out until they accept responsibility for their actions.

My protests are now loud, but peaceful and no violent and of course lawful.

I object to people attacking me or my equipment.

I have asked the Clerk to ensure that when the meeting is reconvened the council has put measures
in place so that I can lawfully protest with out fear of violence from those who object to lawful protest.

Oakham Town Council, Planning Sub Committee, Agenda 14th August 2014

The sub committee has met twice once at 6pm the meeting strangely lasted 5 minutes.

I and another member of public attempted to attend and due to work arrived just as the meeting had ended.
Cllr Stan Stubbs said "we can have meetings when we want, and any way no one attends!"

The obnoxious Tory forgets he serves the people of Oakham and not himself.

Another took place last week, it was not minuted or advertised despite their own terms of reference
stating the law requires all meetings must be open to the public and advertised. The Clerk says this is fine because it was informal he would, would n't he?

The public only heard of this meeting after Cllr Stan Stubs slipped up and made it public at the last meeting.

Cllr Leane Martin now chairs this committee and appears to have ignored requests from Councillors not to hold day time meetings, She told me the time would be convenient for her and other mums. Being a mum and Councillor can not be easy and has clearly effected Cllr Martin's attendance at full council meetings.

Her employer maybe fine with her taking time off school, although it's currently holiday time, I am sure any resident who wants to attend to raise an issue or hear their application heard may not be so lucky.
