The Rutland Fairtrade Market returns to Oakham castle for a sixth year. A wide range of Fairtrade and locally made products will be on sale including foods, crafts, clothing, accessories, knitwear, jewellery, christmas cards and aromatherapy products. There will also be information on current Fairtrade campaigns and Fairtrade refreshments will be on sale.

Price: Free Admission

Rutland Fairtrade Market

Saturday November 16th 10:30 am to 3:00 pm 

A huge variety of Fairtrade products from around the world will be on sale, including clothes, crafts and foods. There will also be a range of locally produced items such as woollen rugs and bags, aromatherapy products, and Christmas cakes and puddings made from Fairtrade ingredients. This is the fifth annual market and this year's event has attracted a record number of stall holders. Admission to the Market is free of charge for all. Tea, coffee and cakes will be available and there will be a thought provoking exhibition on display, entitled "the cost of cheap clothes" featuring artwork by students from New College, Stamford.

aware of what they could do with their rubbish.

by sharing, its called greeniversity Rutland Skill Share supported by

one of the you ladies kindly suggested I had a skill to share taking
photographs, I am not sure there is much skill involved at lot of the
time its luck, turn a dial and press a few buttons and if its no good hit delete.

There will be a wide range of stalls selling Fairtrade crafts, clothing, accessories,
fabrics and foods. In addition Beans coffee shop will be providing refreshments and
there will be information on how Fairtrade is helping to alleviate poverty in developing
countries. The event is organised by the Rutland Fairtrade Steering Group. Oxfam and
Friends of the Earth are also supporting this event. Subject to other commitments,
Alan Duncan (MP for Melton and Rutland) will be officially opening the Fairtrade
Market at 10:30.
