Letchworth Food & Garden Festival returns
The popular event returns to Letchworth Town Centre on May 19th and 20th offering up a tasty selection of market stall holders, cookery demonstrations, food concessions and free entertainment for all the family.
2012’s festival aims to not only entertain but raise awareness about the importance of using locally sourced, seasonal and sustainably produced food and how making the most of leftovers can help reduce unnecessary food waste.
Recognising the increasing trend to ‘grow your own’ there will also be gardening advice from experts on everything from attracting wildlife to your garden, to making a womery, to keeping bees and chickens. Seeds and plants will be available to buy while a ‘produce exchange’ will ensure any surplus from the garden finds a good home.
The festival takes over Letchworth Town Centre from 10am to 4pm on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th May.
All the cookery demonstrations are free however some activities may charge.
All the latest news will be posted on the Love Letchworth facebook page so do keep checking back for details on everything from the latest professional chefs signed up to attend to the latest addition to the stallholder market place.
