Leicestershire City Council introduce the Green, Orange Bag, Outside Marks and Spencer Leicester

Leicestershire City Council introduce the Green, Orange Bag, Outside Marks and Spencer Leicester.

It surprises me Leicester City Council is so far behind, Rutland County Council when it comes to domestic recycling.

Rubbish is the only service Rutland County Council is good at providing.
(sorry it found a good contractors don't want to give them all the credit now!)

Parking Rutland County Council Stamford Road

Mrs Tracy Palmer,
Mrs Jane Thwaites
Mr Hugh Illingworth,
all of Stamford Road, Oakham, will all be asking questions in relation to parking on Stamford Road, Oakham.
At the next full council meeting of Rutland County Council. 14th March 6.00pm

They are concerned about council staff and visitors parking along Stamford Road although the cars are not illegally parked it is a busy and often dangerous road.

The council has a daft green policy relating to parking.

Visitors and junior staff are banned from the council car park if they don't car share.

This does not effect senior Councillors like Conservative Roger Begy who drives a fuel guzzling Jaguar on his own. (I am sure if anyone was to share they would want the rubbish cleared out ASAP.)

Mrs Briggs assistant, Carol Chambers drives her own very large 4x4 (its more like a truck) and parks where she likes in the car park

If the council is going to introduce these unworkable green policies then surely it should apply them to all members and staff.

Public transport is so poor in the Rutland area, so its no wonder staff and visitor drive to the office and park in nearby streets.

Maybe Rutland County Council should sell the car park to a supermarket group?
