Will you stand in elections? Rutland County Council May 2011

Will you stand in elections?

An open evening is being held for anyone interested in standing for election to Rutland County Council.

Elections are due to held in May with 26 seats set to be contested.

An open evening will be held on Monday, January 31,

between 6pm and 8pm at the council offices in Catmose, Oakham.

It will give an overview of what being a councillor involves and there will be an opportunity to speak to current councillors about the role.

For more details telephone 01572 722577.

If you are going to vote remember the current leader said the Council is non political!
So why is there so many Conservatives and at the last Election why did only Conservatives knock at my door asking me to vote for the two Tory Candidates?

No other party bothered there was one other choice because I heard nothing from the independent, I asked locally and was old he was a loony. I wonder if that is why the Conservatives won.
