Conservative Gene Plews & Independent Lapsed Labour Alan Walter called for 2.5% Tax increase
at Rutland County Councils budget meeting.
Cllr Gene Plews (Con) and Cabinet Member called for a 2.5% Council Tax Bill Rise.
He said it made good business sense. He then went on to abstain at the vote?
Cllr Alan Walters (Ind) it would be fair to say he grovelled as he listed his thanks
and complimented the Conservative Leader Roger Begy for the fine way he leads
the Council. He also screwed on his business head and called for a 2.5% tax increase.
I was thinking there would b an increase, Roger Begy and his team in the past have said,
if there was no increase they Council Tax payer would be hammered in future years.
