The funny Conservative has been campaigning hard.

The Labour and Liberal Democrat candidates appear to have forgotten Rutland not even a leaflet.

I googled both of them and found they are both Leicestershire Councillors so no surprise it appears they forgot Rutland.

Rutland County Library, Oakham Library is due to reopen from Wednesday 22 July, offering a reduced collection and drop-off service.

Oakham Library is due to reopen from Wednesday 22 July, offering a reduced collection and drop-off service.
Reduced opening hours will apply at Oakham Library
(9.30am - 2.00pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and 9.30am to 1.00pm Saturday).
There will be no browsing, reading or computer services to begin with, and visitors will be asked to observe social distancing rules inside. This includes a limit on the number of people allowed to enter the library building at any one time.
The Council is also considering the introduction of a similarly reduced collection and drop off service at community libraries in Uppingham, Ketton and Ryhall – operating one day a week after 7 August. Confirmation of specific opening days for each library will follow in due course.
In place of its normal Mobile Library Service, Rutland County Council is also planning for the introduction of a new Home Library delivery and collection service from 10 August.
Registered library users can order books and DVDs online via
or over the phone by calling: 01572 722918.
Items will be held in storage for 72 hours once returned, before they can be loaned back out again.
“We’re pleased to be able to reintroduce some physical library services from next week, taking into account the latest advice. We’re continuing to keep all local services under review, in line with government guidance. The safety of residents and staff remains our number one priority as we look to reintroduce services or ease restrictions. We also need to consider operational and resource constraints.”Councillor Lucy Stephenson, Cabinet Member for Culture and Leisure
