Adam Lowe Oakham Mayor Conduct Complaint Against Cllr Martin Brookes 33 16 my response to his lies
Is it normal for a chairman to stand up remove the chain of office, jacket and tie to assault a member
for wanting to lawfully retain a council document.
Cllr Lowe is a liar and a bully.
He assaulted me and in the process of his actions damaged my personal property.
Cllr Lowe then later lied in an email accusing me of damaging his clothes and and causing him
ABH why did he not show this alleged harm and damage to the police when they arrived?
Because he is a liar I did commit any offense against him.
The chairman did not follow any procedure at this meeting no one voted to exclude me
the minutes of the meeting would suggest nothing out of the ordinary had happened
if the council had voted to exclude me I am sure there would have been great pleasure
in gained from including it in the minutes.
Cllr Lowe also lies about my comment about the Assistant Clerk. I actually asked
a justified question only a few weeks before we had given the assistant Clerk a new
role and increased pay, at this meeting we were giving the same role to the acting
Clerk so I asked are we going to have two proper officers and would Allison's pay be reduced
back to the original scale. At no time did I say anything that Cllr Lowe suggests.
Until Allison fell out with me over the incident caused by Cllr Lowe the assistant Clerk
had my full support and I often challenged her poor level of pay there was no equality.
I also sought extra pay for her during the times the clerk was of skiving.
At no time did I ever say she was not worth the money and I never said she should pay
anything back. I simply believed it was my job to point out the duplication of the
role and cost to the tax payer. When I pointed this out Cllr Lowe would not answer my
question and said it was a matter for the staffing committee. No its not they have no powers
to decide anything it was a council matter.
I am fed up being told by Cllr Lowe and co every time I raise a question or concern I
am bullying the staff as he has stated in this complaint. The last costly investigation stated I am not a bully but Mr Lowe and co won't accept the fact I am not.
