Being Human Thursday October 4th at 7.30pm in Uppingham Theatre

Being Human
Thursday October 4th at 7.30pm in Uppingham Theatre
A full-length live literature show based on the Bloodaxe Books' anthology of contemporary world poetry, Being Human.
Featuring three professional actors, Being Human brings to life the final volume in Bloodaxe's acclaimed trilogy of anthologies, the first two of which toured successfully to venues across the country, introducing contemporary poetry to new audiences. The range of poetry in Being Human complements the first two anthologies: thoughtful and passionate poems about living in the modern world; poems that touch the heart, stir the mind and fire the spirit; poems about being human, about love and loss, fear and longing, hurt and wonder.

This is a rich performance of contemporary poetry brought to life skilfully and enchantingly by a trio of professional actors who can effectively communicate its value to audiences.

'I love Staying Alive and keep going back to it. Being Alive is just as vivid. But this new book feels even more alive - I think it has a heartbeat' - Meryl Streep
