Paul Beech, Independent, Oakham North West Ward, Rutland County Council, Elections
It has been confirmed this week Paul Beech has not only been bullying me he has also been bullying Oakham Town Mayor Sharon Spencer.
After this week pointless Annual Town Council meeting, I had a long chat with Councillor Sharon Spencer who said She know longer communicates with him, because "he had often been very rude and nasty to her"
It is about time more people spoke out and named all the local Tory bullies.
It is clear Mr Beech is not a true independent, record shows he and his wife signed Conservative Councillor Peter Jones papers at the last election.
Mr Beech has taken recently taken to signing his e-mails Beechy. I believe this also clearly shows there is something very wrong with his behaviour.
So I suggest voters think very hard before voting for him.

Oakham Town Council Join The Real World at Last
Oakham Town Council Join The Real World at Last!
At the last meeting of Oakham Town Council, Councillors voted not to award the Town Clerk another pay rise. Although details of the staffing committee review are kept a tight secret from the public, Councillor Dewis did reveal the recommendations included there would no pay rise for the next two years for the Town Clerk or his assistant.
I believe Oakham could not justify the annual increase, it appeared it had become the norm and expected, I remember the last time I was a councillor the Clerk said his contract entitled him to a annual pay rise and there was nothing I could do about it. I was never shown his contract despite a request. I can only assume his comment was not accurate.
Many people who have jobs or being forced to take a huge pay cuts or even loosing their jobs to cuts.
I recently spoke to a member of staff, employed by Rutland County Council who was forced to take on a new role with pay cut of £3,000 a year. Not any easy thing to do when you have mortgage and bills to pay, certainly better than no job, like so many who have suffered the axe at Rutland County Council.

Oakytaxidriver David Burton Slander Twitter
Many things are said about me because a few local people don't like my blog I am learning to ignore most of it.
I am afraid some of the behaviour is very unacceptable. Only this week a comment was posted on the Vale of Catmose School's official facebook page suggesting I children need to be protected from me. The poster Tish Holland falsely says Inspector Monks at Oakham Police station would agree with her.
Only last night they twittered a question how much did a Oakham School teacher pay me for a sexual act.
Due to the public nature of Twitter and the serious nature of the content of the tweet. I feel I must issue the following statement.
I have only spoken to the named teacher in the street and once in the Wheatsheaf pub, at know time have I engaged in any other activity as stated in the tweet.
I do not prostitute myself. All I can say is these local councillors and their friends, must have a lot to hide if they are willing to now attempt to destroy a Oakham School teachers career because he speaks to me. Shame on you!

Vote, Richard Swift, Liberal Democrat, Oakham South East Ward, Rutland County Council, Election
Finaly Richard Swifts lealfet arrived, I was pleased to read my single vote is not wasted.
Mr Swift says "I am standing for election because, like many people, I am dissatisfied with the way that the current council operates. It does not provide succinct, rational replies to the questions that are raised against their policies."
Most readers know I agree with this statement and this relates to both Rutland County Council and Oakham Town Council and suffer the consequences for saying just that.
I hope people will vote out all the Tory old dead wood and then kick out the chief executive and we can truly have a new council for the people.
Records show there is not much hope, this will happen because those who don't like the council don't vote.
So if you want real change pleas vote on May 5th and don't vote Conservative.
I met Mr Munton one of the new Conservatives candidates, he seemed a good man, I wondered if he knew what he was letting himself into.
In our ward we have a small chance to help the change much needed, you only have to place one vote.
Don't bother with Mr Plews Conservative, he has done nothing for our ward over the past four years, sorry he did nick something a few weeks ago, I had already sorted new grass on the verges of Woodland View once the little build is completed. Mr Munton can continue to look after his lorries.

Oakham Town Council 20/20 vision and the Tesco Crossing
At last nights councils meeting I listened with interest as all councillors agreed Rutland County Council needed to paint this crossing.
Rutland County Council did just that some time ago.
I am often asked what I can bring to Oakham Town Council 20/20 vision is on offer.
Maybe the other Town Councillors should get their eyes tested or get out and about our town a little more?

Oakham Town Council Annual Meeting of The Parish of Oakham Town
The Mayor Sharon Spencer presented Mrs Geer with a gift of two plant for organising a fund raising competition for the Mayors chosen charity. Hope against cancer, the competition raised £250
Town Clerk Richard White and Mayor Councillor Sharon Spencer, taken just before the meeting, good to see the Mayor relaxing photography rules during meetings, as the formal part of the meeting was conducted it appeared this rule was waved for a member of her family to take photographs throughout.
The Mayor Sharon Spencer presents a voucher prize for a meal for two. The winner left is Mrs Broughton. The organiser of the quiz right Mrs Geer, The photograph that hopefully will find its way into the Rutland Times was taken by Cllr Lorna Grey all three were looking towards her that is my excuse or a poor photograph.

The Annual Meeting of the Parish of Oakham Town
The meeting was chaired by The Mayor Councillor Sharon Spencer.
6 members of the public and 2 of those departed after collecting their prize.
Some current councillors attended this included: Cllr Adam Lowe, Cllr Maureen Dodds, Cllr Charles Haworth, Cllr Alf Dewis and Cllr Lorna Grey.
After the Mayor spoke she presented a prize to a lucky winner they departed and she went on to address the public.
She thanked all those who had helped and supported her charity fund raising activities.
She said the last year had been like a roller coaster, with its ups and downs and many Councillors resigning.
She said there were some positives and listed the Band Stand refurb, the green flag application for Cutts Close and Royce Recreation ground and dare I say it for fear of a sick comment a 5 star rating for the public loo of the year.
She went on to say it had been a privilege to serve as Mayor and she had attended over 70 events.
She then went onto say something about how some people had made her job very difficult.
At this point the meeting lost its purpose and a bun fight ensued. Involving myself Councillor Lorna Grey and Mr Tyers.
Very sad really, Mr Richard Adams only said to last week why can't these people draw a line under all this. I agree and it was clear by the lack of public interest the rest of the public have better things to do and no longer join in with a few sad peoples campaign against me.
I made it very clear I am angry know one deserves to be called a paedophile. The Mayor said this was not a town matter. I feel it is when someone posts on the School Face book page they need to protect the children form me and Inspector Johnny Monks can confirm this. This town is like a village and that sort of behaviour is very harmful.
whilst attempting to get accross my point the Mayor was shouting for me not to speak about those matters as they were not town issues as far as I was concerned it was a Town Council issue. She said she would call the police at this point Councillor Dewis moved to the door to get a mobile signal.
Cllr Lorna Grey said she did not like my blog, clearly a town issue.
Mr Tyers often said there was something wrong with me. I said yes angry with a few people like him.
The meeting ended after Mrs Tyer complimented the Mayor and Helen Pender politely gave her view of the dysfunctional council.
The meeting ended:
Mr Tyers said I was worse than a Paedophile and worse than anything he might step in! He asked when am I going to get a job and stop sponging!
£60 to eat and pay the bills is not sponging. I don't moan about it I just get on and exist.
I thought by attempting to be a Councillor I would be contributing towards the community, sadly Mr Tyers and Cllr Haworth don't feel I am up to the job and seem to be attempting anything to stop me trying to serve the community.
I wonder why they can not see how they have destroyed the Town Council and those are not my words they are from a member of the public. Others say won't stand for election because the councillors are childish.
The local police did not attend for the first time in years, so maybe the are now attempting to change or are they just distancing themselves ?

Oakham Police protect Mr Tyers and Councillor Haworth
After tonight's Oakham Town Council meeting, Mr Tyers approached me in a threatening manner, I can easily explain this by saying he invaded my space. He asked when I was going to get a job and stop sponging. If I was offered a job I would start tomorrow. Mr Tyers then went onto say I was was worse than a paedophile this was witnessed like the last time he called me a paedophile. There is little point in reporting his behaviour to the police because I know they won't act. Surely after two years he should take Richard Adams advice and draw a line under all this. It was very clear his life is a very unhappy one.
Mr Tyers why don't you ask your friend Councillor Charles Haworth to get a job. Oh no he can't because he claims for caring for his able mother. In his statement made to Standards for England he says she is partially sighted and then asks for that to be removed from his statement, can't think why he would say such a thing about his mother then change his mind, did he suddenly realise that was one lie to far? Why would a Councillor be confused about the state of his mothers health?
