Last Chance to see Rutland Hippos Photographed at Rutland County Museum Oakham

Yes it the last chance to see some of Rutland Hippo's
they have been transported from secure surroundings of
St George's Barracks and put on display
before they will return to be sold by auction
to raise funds for a good charity
the Army Benevolent Fund

Some of the money is being creamed of for Arts for Rutland
not such a good cause in my opinion.

If you can afford the £35 a ticket for the event you could go along
and put a bid in for a Hippopotamus's Bottom

The fibreglass project that saw Elephants all over London last
summer has been heavily criticised in the press as being a
environmental disaster,  one can not be critical off the
Rutland Hippo's we must all be excited and love them.
or members of Arts for Rutland Committee get very upset
and if your lucky they might send you vile threatening e-mails
and then have to resign as a consequence of such actions.

The Rutland Hippo Project cost the tax payer £37,228.05
so if you are going to bid make it a good one.

£37,228.05
It is my view the Conservative members of Rutland County
Council have destroyed our Museum
Live@themuseum cost the tax payer £16,000 last year
instead of cutting jobs at the council cut the losses.
Maybe after the election we will have a new Councillor
responsible for Arts and Culture one who will turn
the place back into a museum.

If you are thinking of nicking another Hippo beware of the
CCTV
and the Alarm

One of Rutland's missing hippos has been returned home

One of Rutland's missing hippos has been returned home ... the baby fibreglass hippo from Lyddington was found in a hedge near Braunstone.
But two of the hippos are still missing. They're part of the Arts for Rutland trail.
Meanwhile two men have been cautioned for vandalising one of the hippos at the weekend.
