Twyford Guild of Artists Annual Exhibition

Twyford Guild of Artists was founded to bring together artists and craftspeople, living and working in the village, to promote their work collectively.


The objective of the Guild is to foster artistic activity in the village and to encourage an awareness of the activities of the Guild, both locally and in the East Midlands.

Membership of the Guild is restricted to artists and craftspeople from Twyford.

Ken Forrest Oakham Artist who paints watercolours in classical watercolour tradition.


Anne Goold had lived and worked in the Var, in the south of France, for twenty years where she worked with several French painters and exhibited there.


Working with Yves Pascal (a Beaux Arts painter). and living in the south of France, was the greatest influence on her use of colour.Since her return to England nine years ago she settled in Rutland, painting locally and returning to France frequently.

Recent exhibitions include: the Heifer Gallery, Islingtom, London; The Mayfair Arts Festival; the Covent Garden Festival at Grosvenor House Hotel; Gildenburgh Gallery, Cambridge; Lec Trois Dauphins at Ste Maxime; Plan de la Tour, Saint Tropez.

Rutland ballet debut Independent Ballet Wales

Ballet is coming to Oakham,

Critics Circle Award winning company
Independent Ballet Wales (est. 1986)
are a dance company that is pushing back
the barriers of classical ballet, headed by
Artistic Director Darius Williams.

For their Rutland debut, their two night
residence at Catmose Arts at Catmose
College will be a night to remember and
not to be missed.

Performed only twice a year, Wales'
premier ballet company will perform
specially selected excerpts from past
productions (eg. Gisselle, Lady of the Lake,
Swan Lake) along with new pieces from
young choreographers.
