Catmose CampusRutland County Council and Catmose College are pleased to announce the official completion of the Catmose Campus project.

After years of planning and 18 months of construction work, the final bits of legal paperwork are now complete and the college is opening for students this week.

Councillor Terry King, Deputy Leader at Rutland County Council says: “This is the biggest project that Rutland County Council has ever delivered and we look forward to the benefits that will be enjoyed by students and local residents for generations to come”.

Stuart Williams, Principal says: “We are all very excited at Catmose College to be moving into such a fabulous building and the opportunities it will give us to transform the education we are able to offer to so many people”.

In addition to a new secondary college, there are many other community facilities on the site including state-of-the-art sports facilities such as a fitness suite, dance studios, sports hall, and outdoor pitches. There is also a new coffee shop.

The campus will include a new Children’s Centre as well as providing a base for services such as adult learning and other specialist support”.

Students from Catmose College will be moving into the new building throughout week commencing 28 February 2011.

The sports facilities will be opening to the public from 1 April 2011.
