The Work Programme, Ingeus, Invite, intraining NCG

This morning I received a letter from Intraining Leicester instructing me to attend my first work programme interview.

It appears Ingeus despite the complaint from other providers is sharing some of it cash with other providers after winning all the UK Government work programme tenders.

I have past experience of Intraining Leicester, New Deal was the scheme, I was kick off for complaining about the unproffessional behaviour of one its advisers. I was then referred to Working Links, to my surprise the same advisor had a job just got a job with them. I did not surprise me to find Working Links was no better and this was confirmed  by a local provider when he looked through my paperwork he clearly said they had not done there job correctly.

I have e-mailed Intraining this morning and asked them to rearrange the appointment as I don't have the cash to take a train to Leicester and also to consider referring me to a provider nearer to home either in Melton or Stamford.

The Work Programme, Start Notification letter (JSA) WP05 Jobcentre Plus

The Job Centre handed me a letter. Notification of Work Programme Start.

Along with the letter is an explanation about the Work Programme.

Strangely titled The Work Programme When you've volunteered to take part.

The advisor told me I had to take part?

I am always happy to improve my prospects to find a job although many readers will know I am fed up being treated like a commodity by the so call providers.

The form has a empty box? If you want more information or have any questions please contact?

Contact who?

The attached letter says I must take part so I don't see how that is volunteering.

I told the advisor I have no money to travel to Leicester she said its not her problem sort it with INGEUS they are the provider.

The programme lasts two years?

As this appear to be the Governments New back to work scheme. I thought I would publish everything I receive and do relating to this scheme and hopefully it won't be long before I will be publishing I have a job. That is if I can sort out when I need to meet this provider and how I am going to get to Leicester.

Dear Mr Brookes,

From today to continue getting Jobseeker's Allowance and/or National Insurance credits, you must take part in the Work Programme,

(for my local critics I currently receive £30 a week JSA)

INGEUS or one of their partners, will support you whilst on the Work Programme. They will
discuss what help you need to find work, and draw up an action plan of things you'll do to
improve your chances of getting and keeping a job.

You must complete any activities that INGEUS tells you to do.

You will still need to attend the Jobcentre and meet your benefit conditions including
reporting any changes of circumstances.

You must take part in the Work Programme until you are told otherwise.

If you fail to take part in the Work Programme without good reason, your Jobseeker's Allowance could stop for up to 26 weeks. You could also lose your National Insurance Credits.

We have passed your contact details on to INGEUS who will be in touch with you shortly

Yours sincerely

The attached information:

The Work Programme
When you have
volunteered
to take part

The programme aims to help you prepare for, find and stay in work. If you already
have a part-time job, the programme can help you to increase your hours. It is delivered for
Jobcentre Plus by specialist organisations which we call 'providers'. We are passing on
to a specially chosen organisation who will be able to offer you more flexible support.

What you can expect from the Work Programme

As part of the Work Programme, you can expect to:

work with your provider and discuss what help you need to prepare for and find
work as well as things you'll do to improve your chances of getting a job, and
be treated politely, fairly and considerately.

Additionally the provider will:

keep your personal data secure and ill not share it with any unauthorised third parties
comply with current legislation including the Equality Act 2010, an
not discriminate against you on grounds such as age, race, gender, disability or
sexual orientation.

The Work Programme may include you taking part in work-related activities such as work
experience, training, and further support. We hope that with this support, you'll get and
stay in a job.

The Work Programme lasts for two years. Your provider will give you all the work-focused
support you need during this time, even if you change benefits or get a job. This support
will be tailored to your individual needs and circumstances.

Once you find a job, your provider may continue to offer support to you to help you stay in
employment.

If you get Employment and Support Allowance or Incapacity Benefit, or you're a lone
parent with a young child, you will not be made to apply for a job, do any work or have any
medical treatment. Any activities which you will asked to do must be reasonable in your
circumstances. If you think that they are not, you can ask your provider to reconsider them.

What we expect from you as a volunteer
(??? has the government changed the meaning of volunteer???)

We've explained what you can expect from the Work Programme, but there are also things
we expect from you. Your responsibilities are to:

make the most of the help your provider gives you
treat the provider and other participants politely, fairly and considerately
attend meetings or take phone calls at the times agreed
complete any activities the provider tells you to do, and
it is very important that you tell your provider if you're having problems or can't
take part in any activity at any time for any reason.

DWP Department for Work and Pensions

While getting benefit you must also:

tell Jobcentre Plus about any change in your circumstances, and
attend any appointments that Jobcentre Plus asks you to.

Your benefit may be effected if you don't meet these responsibilities.

If your circumstances change

If your circumstances change, taking part in the Work Programme may no longer be
voluntary. For example, if you change benefits, you may have to do activities that the
provider asks you to. If you don't it may effect your benefit.

If you want more information or have any questions

If you need any more information or have any questions. Please contact:

BLANK NO DETAILS PROVIDED

If you are not happy

Whether you are dealing with Jobcentre Plus or one of our providers, you should expect to
be treated fairly. Your provider must explain the minimum standards of service you can
expect from them. If your not happy with our service or that of the provider, you have the
right to complain. Making a complaint will not effect your benefit.

If you do want to make a complaint about any aspect of the Work Programme, depending
on what your complaint is about, get in touch with either your provider or with Jobcentre
plus. Tell them what happened, how it affected you, and what you want to happen as a
result.

Your provider will have their own complaints procedures that they'll explain to yo at your
first meeting. If you have gone through their process and are not satisfied with the way
they have dealt with your complaint, you can ask the Independent Case Examiner to
investigate. The Independent Case Examiner will normally only accept a complaint for
investigation if you have:

already received a final response from your provider, or
waited eight weeks for a response

You can contact the Independent Case Examiner at:

The appointment is Friday 1st October  at 10.00 am..

If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact me.

Sophia Franzen

Performance Manager

I would not want to think my advisor Nadia was in any trouble, she is not crazy like the one I experienced at In Training.

She left or was sacked and they kicked me back to the Job Centre, so much for wanting to hear from your customers. Of course the crazy woman now works for Working Links.

The only good thing is with working links is the free coffee, Apex treats its customers worse than dogs if you can't afford the vending machine the suggested the toilet tap for refreshment.

All these companies are exploiting the unemployed and ripping of the tax payer. Some have been exposed in the national press. The sooner these contracts expire and the government gives back job search to the job centre the better it will be for all.,

New Deal Tax Payers Rip Off Working Links Leicester

New Deal Tax Payers Rip Off Working Link Leicester

I have decided to blog what New Deal really is!

For many months now I have attended Working Links in Leicester as part of New Deal.
Working Links provides no service for the long term unemployed.
A service the tax payer funds they won't tell me how much they receive each week I attend to do job search and just to have that logged.

For over two months I asked to see my advisor, I was told there was more needy causes.

All I can say I hope they have been out of work for longer than three years.

I often see people who need  basic help such as using computers not getting that help.

I don't believe it is the local staff's fault.

The more referrals, the more income, so the unemployed are just a commodities.

Hers is a photo diary of New Deal Working Links Style today.

The first task is to write a cheque,
to pay for the train to Leicester

I leave my home at 9.30 am
 and head for the bank

I arrive at the bank

Welcome to
National Westminster Bank
Oakham  Branch

Now I have £12 cash it's off to Oakham Station
to buy the Ticket, Tax Payers will refund this
money later , Cash down the drain.

I arrive at the booking hall at Oakham
station at 10.00 am

I purchase my ticket,
I always obtain a receipt.
Working Links constantly
changes procedures
and no longer requires one

East Midlands Train Ticket an Receipt

The East Midlands Train To Leicester
arrived early, so we waited for the
correct departure time

I arrive at Leicester station
at 10.50 am

I arrived at Working Links at
11.00 am

Working Links has a very
dated image, I  think that is a record

On arrival I sign in and once again my name is not on the list

I make a coffee to drink whilst having another
look at the Leicester Mercury Job Section

The only problem is all the copies of this
weeks Leicester Mercury have vanished!
I am treated to some leaflets from Working Links

A Handy Tip

I take my own computer because Working Links does not provide enough,
if you do wait to use theirs, the staff are very keen to get you off and pass you
to a advisor who logs your job search.

A production line of job seekers!

I see a advisor not pictured here
he is  large ex school teacher
who has burgers on his mind.
He logs my job search and has a chat
he still thinks he is at school, as he says
I tell all my children! he stops and says sorry.
(last weeks advisor has gone back to university
so you can see working links is employing people
who are experienced in helping people back to work)

The advisor drew a burger  to explain how I should contact 5
employers to ask for work or unpaid work experience.

That's it New Deal from Job Centre  Plus and Working Links Leicester

I departed at 12.00

Then I headed to the bank to repay the money at the bank
before  Weatherbys notice I had borrowed their money

One of the good things about the holding of a Private Bank
account you can avoid the queuing if the branch has one of these

Its a good thing because this branch has only two windows open
and the new robots taking up the place of three previous windows
can't count £2 coins!

Job Searching

Some of you may have seen this comment and request online over the weekend.

The Jobcentre Plus only require jobseekers to actively seek work in three various ways each week.

I would like to state, I do far more than this and attend Job Links in Leicester and use methods they provide. although this is limited, they allow restricted access to the internet.

If there is a employer locally who can other me employment I would be happy to hear from them.

Posted online:
I and others, will be making the Job centre aware of his time-wasting activities - and sending links to all his sites and accounts so he can be monitored. Looking for work or looking for trouble ?

Leicester Charles Street Jobcentre Plus
2 Charles Street
Leicester
United Kingdom
LE1 3JD
Telephone: 0116 206 8000

I and others would also like to question his use of the public library, he often states on twitter/blog/facebook group/forum he has been allowed extra time, why, when others have to pay for their allotted time? Why are tax payers funding his online hate campaign/egomaniacal behavior. I am lead to believe he tells staff, he is applying for or looking for work.

All this time in Rutland we pondered on the use for the fifth hole in the stocks....

Job links sending people home from job search because workman removed windows!

Fun of Job Search in Rutland and Leicestershire.

There are no employment services in Rutland.

Jobcentre Plus Flexible New Deal?

Jobcentre Plus Flexible New Deal?
Is it New I don't think so!

Dear Alan Duncan MP

I am writing to you, regarding the governments New Flexible Deal.

Sadly I can see no difference between New Deal or the New Flexible New Deal. Accept this time the Employment service is very keen to point out sanctions and more sanctions if a job seekers does not comply.

On my first visit to Job Links in Leicester, I joined a group in a room to watch a Power Point presentation about Job Links. I left with the impression Job Link was wonderful despite the dated image of their advertising I wonder how many of the job seekers ever purchased a 45rpm Single.

On my second visit I met my advisor Nadia, who is very polite and cant spell like me. so I am sure she will help me find employment.

On my third visit job search day for everyone who attends Job Links. There are six computers for everyone to use. A couple copies of the Leicester Mercury. Three folders of jobs printed from the government job site. Most printed in January and February, six jobs had past the closing date so I removed these for future reference.

Arriving early on Job search day I signed in and waited and waited in the crowd of people. Then I was spotted by Nadia who explained I must apply for three jobs and then wait for a member of a team to become free. I could not find three job in the Oakham area so I waited for a free advisor sometime later after the manger had made numerous loud requests to the staff to work quicker and hearing a advisor telling a man he had no chance of getting a job because of the way he smelt, I was seen and details entered onto a PC and off for another wait to get a form to claim my train fare.

So far Government has paid £36 in train fare. I don’t understand why. Job links is offering no more than I do in the library each day here in Oakham. Before going to Job Links I had applied for a Job at Burley Fires.

The advisors at Job links seem no more qualified than me to help find work. The Employment Service say they are meant to help us to find a job we want to keep, So why do the job folders have part-time cleaning jobs with hours as low as three hours.

I have attached the result of my second visit to Job Links.

Yours sincerely

Martin Brookes
