Sudbury Suffolk Photographs

I had to be very quick when taking this photograph, the flow of traffic seems to be non stop through Sudbury A131

The traffic speads past some very pretty sights like the River Stour.

St Peters Church Sudbury Suffolk

These days the church is looked after by The Churches Conservation Trust.
When I passed this Church as a child it was in the centre of a round about, it is said you would need to say a prayer before attempting to cross to enter the church. Now the church sits in a triangular space since the town centre was introduced to a one way traffic system.

Although the Church is centrally located it was never the parish church that is St Gregory

H Byham & Son Ltd Ballingdon Dairy, Ballingdon St, Sudbury, Suffolk CO10 2DA Photographs

Established in 1913 by Henry Byham a family run business is now headed by great grandsons Nigel & Henry Byham. Better known as the Ballingdon Dairy

Speaking with the owner we thought the Diary could possibly be one of the only functioning in-town diary's in England, I am not sure if Hitchin's Diary still exists. Another I saw was in Bloomsbury London, that buiding is now a Pizza Express.

The Electric Float are long gone, but who knows the way fuel bills are rising they may come back.
The cost of discounted fuel here in Oakham costs more than the expensive petrol station on the A1 but not as bad as further north a member of my family said the paid 133.9 yesterday!
