Oakham Town Council has been asked by Rutland County Council to complete the survey. This can also be completed by the public.
So far no Oakham Town Councillor has responded to the request individually despite numerous requests or prompts they don't count me because I am no longer a Councillor. I took the time to complete the survey some weeks ago.
This is a very important issue that could have an effect on the whole of Oakham.
Some councillor made comments regarding the survey but they passed a resolution to note the survey and if individual councillor wanted to complete it then they could.
I think this clearly shows the councillors have no interest in the town or its future. They chucked out there only opportunity as a corporate body to attempt to influence Rutland County Council, disgraceful!
Cllr Dewis said the document was tantamount to supporting development of land and could help increase the values of the land.
They lost the chance to raise objections.
Mayor Cllr Joyce Lucas said this is ill timed.
Its very clear she has not read the document or listened to any presentation she has attended.
I would like to believe some councillors will respond in there own capacity even if its only to object to the allocation of fields that back onto there homes.
