Sarah Outen Opens Refurbished Royce Recreation Ground Oakham

MOD Police on Standby?

Sarah Outen opens the newly refurbished
Royce Recreation Ground.

Saturday 22nd May 2010

Sarah is known for recently rowing a long way at sea solo for charity.

She appeared on BBC breakfast at the end of her last project.

Her next project will be rowing from London to London around the world.

Royce recreation is a project the now Mayor Cllr Sharon Spencer organised.

The cost of the project was met by a government grant of £50,000

The event was attended by other Parish Councillors, Cllr Dewis. Cllr Haworth and Cllr Lucas, Alison Greaves Assistant Town Clerk and The Town Clerk was on gardening leave. This was very true he was planting a new hedge.

Also at the event was Jay he is the friendly local PCSO

The opening was organised by Alison with the help of Cllr Joyce Lucas. I was very pleased to see the bouncy slide for the young people of the ward although I was tempted to try it myself I refrained from doing so.

Cllr Lucas was organising a Town Council Official event and for some strange reason she was wearing a badge asking people not to speak to her because she was not on official duty. I guess this meant she could say what she wanted to the public without fear of being reported to standards. Cllr Joyce Lucas slipped up and tried to smear me at this event but she was put in her place as she approached unknown to her a very good friend of mine. Naughty Joyce…..

Royce Recreation Ground Oakham

Dear Members.

After today's opening please could the large ring swing be removed.

After looking at the impact damage of the first ring I became concerned about the equipments safety. You will notice the weld did not break a chunk of the steel tube was ripped away.

Yesterday I observed the use of the equipment or its misuse. I see the effects of the impact of the replacement ring when it hits the frame. The young people are swinging with a great deal of force, when the ring hits the frame impact is so great the whole structure moves. I am very concerned we wont just end up with a crumpled steel ring.

If a head or limb of a young person strikes the supporting frame the consequences could be dire.

I am told other equipment can be fitted to the frame, Can I suggest the ring is replaced with something that can not be pushed to hit the frame with such force.

Oakham Bandstand Security

Dear Mr Pook,

This morning I found the site that is the bandstand had been burgled. I called at Victoria Hall to report this matter.

And to get the site secured for safety.

I met Cllr Alf Dewis explained to him what had happened and he told me I am not interested.

His lack of concern for safety is a very big concern

His lack of concern regarding the possible loss of Council Property is a very big concern.

His total disregard for upholding the law is totally unacceptable.

I wish standards to deal with this.

Cll Dewis is the man who say I should not approach Richard White so I expected some assistance form him, I did not receive any and as I felt this needed immediate attention, I reported the matter to the police and visited Mr White so he could contact the contractor to arrange for the site to be secured.

Oakham Town Council Staffing Committee 26th May 2010

Oakham Town Council Staffing Committee public welcome and some Council member until item 6 on the agenda.

Item 6 will discuss the grievance made by the Town Clerk Richard White against Cllr Martin Brookes.

The Staffing Committee to agree on suitable recommendations for the Council to consider in order that the issue can be resolved in accordance with the Council’s Grievance Procedure.

They don’t have one. Last week I made a complaint about Cllr Alf Dewis and received no response.

I can not find any act that can be enforced by other members to exclude
Me or any other members from this meeting.

Also there has been no investigation and I have still not been provided
With a copy of the allegation.

Oakham Town Council Meetings

Sainsbury will be visiting Oakham Town Council for a private meeting with members to talk to members regarding the possibility of a Sainsbury Supermarket to the North of Oakham.

At 7.00pm A Meeting of Oakham Town Council Planning and General Purposes Committee Starts at 7.00pm public welcome.

Amongst other planning application to consider Tesco Planning Application will be considered.

On Wednesday 26th May 2010 at 7pm Oakham Town Council will be considering the demolition of 39 Penn Street Oakham.

Oakham Town Council will also be considering an application from Tesco Stores Ltd to extend the existing A1 store. 96 South Street Oakham, along with the creation of additional car parking together with ancillary highway and landscape work.

The current store opened 2001

Tesco’s existing store extends some 31,011 sqft and has a gross internal area, including a planning net sales area squared of (16,630 sqft) The store mainly stocks convenience goods, with only 10% of the net sales area 1658 sqft devoted to comparison goods.

Part of Penn Street to be demolished

A small water course runs around part of the boundary of the site, with houses beyond. The gardens of these properties were for many years subjected to flooding caused by poor drainage of surface water from the existing car park,

Proposed Cycle/Pedestrian Access from Penn Street

A retail Supermarket was first proposed on the site in May 1998 but this was refused on the grounds of adverse impacts on residential amenity from traffic generated by development.

The existing store was eventually granted outline planning permission at the appeal February 1999.

Tesco have been trading in Oakham for over 8 years.

Tesco say the store is cramped, dated and does not provide customers with the shopping environment that they want, along with insufficient parking availability.

Tesco Recycling to move

They wish to increase the size of the store to increase sales and storage.

Provide a new in-store café and add an additional 164 parking spaces and relocate the recycle centre. Increased cycle parking and they propose a pedestrian link through Penn Street, This would mean the house would be demolished.

If the proposal is accepted all the above will become a car park

Tesco promise free parking for customer and visitors to the town.

Some local shops and homes display notices

After looking through the hundreds of pages of documents provided by Tesco I was pleased to see I am not the only person to make mistakes :-)

I just noticed my emails to you and lardboy on your blog and you calling me mad. I thought that we had a good relationship and we were (nearly) buddies.....

After the long journey we have been on, me helping you stop the bullying on rutnet so why attack me like that?

Would the tree wardens of Exton ivestigate?

Magnolia tree theft!

A Magnolia tree was ripped out of a garden and stolen from a property in Campden Close Exton.

I understand it was a wedding gift.

Oakham Town Council My requests have been ignored.

I have made numerous requests to see the letter written by The Town Clerk Richard White.

My requests have been ignored.

Your offer to provide mediation to help me understand how alleged bullying is affecting, the town clerk is unacceptable and quite frankly insulting.

The open ended ban prohibiting me freely accessing the Council office is unacceptable. The ban has caused me to seek alternative advice. This in turn has affected Rutland County Council. I am currently not visiting Rutland County Council this now means Oakham Town Councils actions are obstructing me and precluding me from carrying out my duties as Oakham Town Councillor.

Next week I will be seeking legal advice. I believe Oakham Town Council with the assistance of Cllr Alf Dewis have dug a hole they can’t get out of by asking the town clerk to make a formal complaint. Mr Dewis with his employment expertise thought he could suspend a Cllr. If a complaint, was raised. He then went onto provoke and bully me. Oakham Town Council refused to use the services of ACAS due to cost and do not want Richard White to approach his Union because they don’t want it to go that far. I am not sure what to make of that statement. What do they want? I feel this is due to a fear the Union will point out the many errors of their ways. Mr White can not withdraw his allegation and I request the allegation is fully investigated.

Oakham Town Councillors Smear my name as they visit their committees. They complain to the police about my blog. But they never look at how they conduct themselves. I was horrified when I was shown ex Cllr Harrison’s Blog with his unjustified personal attack against me. To be honest I am not the lonely mad person he depicts but I would rather be that than a member of his sad old rotten style nasty Tory Club.

When are councillors going to write a new script? Every time a person complains they describe that person as mad.

I think it is very bad form that you decided to forward my personal email to Jan to Martin to create even more ongoing problems. I support Martin Brookes and think he has been bullied but I also think he treated Jan unfairly. And its undeserving. You will not succeed in driving a wedge between those who support him.

Aside, I think you have personalised this way too much. You are acting like a child simply because I rejected your advances. I do not find you attractive as I have told you on many occasions. I find your type of promiscuity a total turn off. As I told you before, I have a long term lover and am not in the business of acting like a slut. You , as we all know, frequent gay brothels. I suggest you leave us good clean people alone.

I don't see what the following has to do with bullying:
I find the way Martin Brookes has acted regards your good self to be quite vile
I do find the way you treated an aged woman to be quite vile? Do I think that all the other stuff you have done is the same? Nope.
Do I find lardboy to be a repulsive bully? Yes.
Have I sent you hate mail? Absolutely not, Ive always supported your cause. You really should have spoken to me before posting that - I thought we were mates.
Haworth, I emailed you. I did not email Martin. Why did you feel the need to pass that on? I see no other motive other than to drive a wedge between us. Very bad form, Lardboy, very bad form.

Dear Jan

As a local resident, I would like to thank you for all your hard work for the county - I think you have done a wonderful job and your commitment to the County is outstanding.

I find the way Martin Brookes has acted regards your good self to be quite vile. However, I do firmly believe that within a short time, you will look back on your time serving the community and recollect just positive, bright times and your experience with Brookes will fade into the abyss to the point that you will not recollect his negative ways or negative behaviour. Small annoyances do have a way of quickly becoming a distant recollection.

Once again Jan, off all the residents, I believe there is only one who would not agree with the above,. Please always remember that. Because when any of the Rutland residents recollects your time serving our County, I would bet my bottom dollar that MB will not, even for a fleeting second, be part of the recollection. So please do not allow that small issue to taint your memories.

Thank you so very much and may your replacement reach the lofty expectations that have been set by your high standards.

Best Regards

Nick.
