Green Flag Award Cutts Close Oakham

Green flag award Oakham Town Council Cutts Close Oakham.

Now this is a good reason to have a photography hobby.

Despite what my critics say I will continue to photograph as a hobby. Although they have tarnished the enjoyment of my hobby.

I am pleased to be able to support Oakham Town Council as a whole, and help with its efforts to obtain Green flag status for Cutts Close, Oakham.

Oakham Town Council have been given permission to use any of my photographs I have taken in Cuttts Close Oakham.

These will be used in a presentation entry pack currently being compiled by the Assistant Town Clerk.

NO FEE has been charged for the photographs. I wish the town luck and hope we achieve the Green Flag award.

It is good to see the Council attempting to promote our town.

The awful Cllrs Lucas and Dewis catchphrase we must be seen to be more pro-active must be working.

National Bandstand Marathon Oakham Town Council and Rutland Concert Band

Oakham Town Council Sponsored the Rutland Concert Band.

The Band played at the newly renovated bandstand in Cutts Close Oakham as part of the National Bandstand Marathon.

Cllr Sharon Spencer and Oakham Town Mayor explained to the brave few, who had braved the weather the reason for the National Bandstand Marathon and its link to the 2012 Games. As the afternoon progressed everyone was pleased to see more people turn up to enjoy the performance given by the Rutland Concert Band.

She then officially opened the newly renovated bandstand.

Then is was the turn of Cllr Lorna Gray
She introduced the Rutland Concert Band
She organised this event with the help of
Cllr Charles Haworth who made a request not to
be photographed. Pity as he was not looking fat like he
did in my last photograph at the opening of
Royce Recreation Ground
No photo if it helps keep the peace.

The Bandstand Marathon is one of Superact!'s
many projects which aims to develop healthier communities.
However this project is most unique,
due to it's national, similtaneous participation
and association with the Cultural Olympiad.

We work in many different fields
 and with groups of people
from a wide variety of backgrounds
 and abilities. Much of Superact!’s
work is structured to help
those within the healthcare,
education and criminal justice systems.

Oakham Town Council and Kompan Play Equipment

Oakham Town Council has just installed some new play equipment into Cutts Close Oakham

The equipment is designed for older children.
and supplied by Kompan

Oakham Town Council received a bribe or was that
an incentive? to award this contract to this company.
Kompan gave Oakham Town Council one piece free
because they were awarded the £50,000
contract for the equipment installed at Royce
recreation ground early this year.

At a recent meeting of this dysfunctional authority
the Town Clerk Richard White told members it is a legal
requirement for the council to tender for such  a
large spend. I am guessing he was looking after his own interest there
Any investigation into council affairs and he can say I told
councillors about their obligations.
Rather late in the day! to do this as the council
had already summited plans to English Heritage
and spent thousands in costs, if the Councillors had
decided to tender then they would have had to pay again.
so Councillors voted to break the law and not tender for this contract.

It is my understanding they also failed to tender for the
£50,000
Royce Contract

Is not time the local Tax Payers
took on this Council!

Bin Fire Oakham Saturday

Young people consumed a case of beer then set fire to case and bin saturday evening fire service put out fire.

I think the new bins must be fire resistant, so this might not cost the council another £1000
