Virus contained in supermarket voucher Tesco, Morrisons, Sainsbury's or ASDA

Virus contained in supermarket voucher

A malware infected email claims that several major supermarkets have collaborated to offer customers an all-in-one shopping voucher worth £30

Virus contained in supermarket voucher

the email says the voucher can be used in any Tesco, Morrisons, Sainsbury's or ASDA to receive £30 worth of spending for just £15.

The message is not a legitimate offer and there is no such voucher associated with the supermarket chains.

Recipients are instructed to click a link in the email to read more information and download the voucher for printing. A second link in the message supposedly allows recipients to opt out of receiving further such marketing emails.
If you click on the links you will find that a .zip file is downloaded onto your computer. The zip file contains a .exe file that, if opened, will install a Trojan onto your machine.
The virus dupes users into believing it is harmless by calling itself “voucher.pdf.exe”.

London Pride 2012 to Be Sponsored by Tesco, Daily Mail, Photographs of Pride

I wondered why this post was receiving the most hits this week
then I saw a Tweet from a Homophobic local  resident referring
to the Daily Mail article referring to the Tesco Sponsorship of
London Pride.
So I thought I would update the content posted in 2010
to include links to photograph sets I took at Pride 2010

Cllr Charles Haworth, Deputy Mayor, Oakham Town Council, Tesco Incident

Today during a shopping trip to Tesco Oakham I met Councillor Charles Haworth our Deputy Mayor in-store.
He had been chatting to former Councillors Paul Beech and Peter Jones.

I greeted my colleague and he responded by shouting P#ss Off at me. I suggested to Mr Haworth this was not how our deputy Mayor should behave. His response to me was to shout F#ck Off.

He went on to say I was stalking him, its clear he has lost his mind and please Mr Haworth don't flatter yourself!

It did not surprise me to hear whilst at Oakham Police station Ex Councillor Paul Beech had lied to a PCSO and falsely accused me of stalking and following Mr Haworth around the store. Fortunately for me the police have acted quickly and are able to provide Tesco's CCTV to prove he is a liar.

If you were one of the horrified customers in the store at the time please contact Oakham Police Station.
(0116) 222 2222.
The police have released a press release with a hope of finding a witness.

Ex Councillor Peter Jones who was standing inches away has recently suffered a hearing impairment, he told me he heard nothing.

I find it extraordinary how this mob feel they are now untouchable and are willing to behave in public in such a disgraceful manner.

I was distressed and very felt very embarrassed and intimidated by Councillor Haworth, also embarrassed for the customers who had to here his vile abuse on a Sunday afternoon, no one should have to put up with this behaviour and especially not from someone who holds such a senior position in our community.

Cllr Haworth's poor use of language is I guess now something I will have to expect.

But for Mr Beech who is studying criminology at Leicester, you would think he would know its a criminal offence to lie in giving evidence to the police.

Tesco Pepsi and Crisps all £1 each or Super Offer of any 2 for £2 Photograph

Tesco Pepsi and Crisps all £1 each or Super Offer of any 2 for £2 Photograph

I pay attention to pricing when shopping and to be honest my local Tesco does not often get it wrong.

Something tells me Tesco is enjoying the free publicity created in the Press and BBC Watchdog.

Here is a current example of how Tesco is helping its customers with their maths. All products displayed on this end display are clearly marked at £1 each and Tesco have added the promotion cards pointing out if you buy 2 it will only cost you £2 not much of a saving.

There are currently some real savings in Tesco but they don't seem to have such a high profile promotion in-store. For example I purchased a large freshly baked loaf from the in-bakery yesterday for only 50p. I won't mention the other great offers, Tesco can afford to pay for their own advertising!

Rutland Times "Self Censorship", Supporting it's Love for Conservative Rutland County Council

Rutland Times "Self Censorship", Supporting it's Love for Conservative Rutland County Council .

Regular readers of the rather thin biased Tory Rutland Times may have noticed a lack of cartoon in a recent issue.

The cartoonist word on this "Self Censorship"

With supermarket the saga ongoing, the paper gave over large column inches to Conservative Leader Roger Begy, so he could blast his other foot off and all the letters to follow, you would have thought we would have been treated to a super cartoon on the subject, NO it was considered too HOT a subject by the Rutland Times.

So I can only assume Conservative pressure has rained down once again from Rutland County Council!

If I was producing a cartoon on the subject it would picture Roger Begy, with a Tesco yellow label on his belly being fed into the waste compactor at the rear of Tesco. As unwanted past his sell by date along with the rest of his Tory mob. Nothing personal just the old guard thinks its hard, when in fact it is just a bit stale.....

A cartoonist in Rutland with restricted freedom of expression whatever next?

Rutland County Council, Leader, Roger Begy, People are fighting for a Sainsbury

Conservative Leader Roger Begy in this weeks Rutland Times:

“People are fighting for a Sainsbury’s over a Waitrose because they want competition for Tesco so that they can afford to live.”

In Rutland the council tax that people living in the county pay averages £555 per person, whereas in Leicester city it equates to £307.

Council leader Roger Begy calls for improvements to rural funding:

If there is snow or its Christmas we often see stocks run low in Tesco people arguing at the checkouts, those are good reasons for another store.

We would not want to see this in Tesco?

Roger Begy Conservative Leader of Rutland County Council says NO to Supermarket Giants, What next for post 16 Education

Now the Leader of Rutland County County Council Roger Begy Conservative, has thrown his rattle out of the pram and become the hero of the Anti Supermarket lobby, I wonder what plans he has to feed all those people who will be moving into the new homes that will be springing up around Oakham.

The Anti Supermarket lobby should not trust this man, Judas would best describe him. If Waitrose had not pulled out of the Tresham College deal he and his Conservative colleges would have been paid a substantial sum by Tresham College for the Councils Post 16 Education project. If it is the case Supermarkets are now barred from Oakham will we be seeing more homes? I visualise the long wait in Tesco on a Saturday morning or they all drive out to lidl to do their shopping alongside Roger Begy.

I am concerned now at what is going to happen to the post 16 eduction here in Rutland we have been told many times it hinges on the gift to be received from Tresham. (gift as describe by the Rutland Times)
